PROJECT

Café website concept

Visit website

The brief and approach

Context

A portfolio concept imagining a neighbourhood café and bakery in Dubai DMCC. The menu, prices and café story are illustrative, not evidence of a client business or operating venue.

Problem

A café website should make it simple to browse food and drinks, understand the atmosphere and find visit information without a complicated interface.

Approach

Use a single-page structure connecting the menu, café story and visit section. Divide the menu into pastries, coffee and breakfast so visitors can quickly explore the offering.

Development

Semantic HTML and responsive CSS provide the page structure. Vanilla JavaScript updates a shared menu panel from structured records. Menu tabs expose selected states and support arrow keys, Home and End for keyboard navigation.

Result

A published café showcase with three menu categories, a story section and a neighbourhood map link. The map points to the DMCC area rather than a verified café address. No ordering or payment service is connected.

01 / BRANDING

The look & feel.

Cream, cocoa and rust colours support the warm café photography. Playfair Display-style serif headings and DM Sans body text establish an approachable identity, with large images and readable menu descriptions.

Self-initiated portfolio concept.
